The short-term certificate is only valid in the territory of Latvia and is equivalent to an interoperable vaccination certificate and valid for 30 days from the date of issue. The short term certificate is intended for receiving services and attending events.

All persons traveling to Latvia must complete an electronic form on the Covidpass.lv website no earlier than 48 hours before entering Latvia and provide the requested information regarding vaccination, testing or recovery from COVID-19.

The restrictions on entry into Latvia depend on the person’s country of origin and whether they have been vaccinated or cured of COVID-19.

For the full official account in English of the procedures required for the issuance and use of the certificate, please see this Ministry of Foreign Affairs webpage.
